-I am Mari, a photographic artist and teacher, and my passion for photography began with my studies at a university in Spain. Here, I delved into digital photography, but a special place in my heart is reserved for criminal photography. It’s an unusual field, but it taught me to appreciate every detail, every emotion that can be captured on film.
-In my courses, I strive to bring students back to the roots of photography, showing them how it has evolved over the centuries. I love talking about what the first cameras looked like and the challenges photographers faced a hundred years ago. Those were times when a single photograph could take an entire hour to create, and every step of the process was a true art form.

Teaching:
I teach students the historical roots of photography, taking them through its evolution from the earliest cameras to the modern digital era.
My lessons emphasize the importance of understanding past techniques and how they shaped today’s practices.
Through storytelling, I share the challenges early photographers faced and the ingenuity required to turn light into lasting images, creating a deep appreciation for the art form.
I guide students to appreciate the uniqueness of every image and the process behind its creation, teaching them to value each shot as a moment in history.
Digital Photography:
Accessibility: Digital photography has revolutionized the art by making it accessible to everyone. With smartphones and affordable digital cameras, almost anyone can capture moments, express creativity, and engage in visual storytelling.
Creative Freedom: Digital technology allows photographers to instantly see their results, experiment with different techniques, and edit images, enhancing both quality and personal expression. This freedom encourages exploration of various styles, genres, and themes.
Impact on Communication: Digital photography has become an essential tool in modern communication. Images convey emotions and messages far more quickly than words, making them vital in advertising, social media, journalism, and personal expression. Platforms like Instagram and Facebook have turned photography into a key method for sharing experiences, building identities, and even pushing social or political agendas.

The Influence of Digital Photography:
Digital photography not only changes how we take photos but also how we perceive and interact with the world around us. It has transformed personal and professional communication, giving individuals a platform to share their stories and influence others.
In an increasingly visual culture, photography is more than just an art form—it's a tool for creating connection, fostering dialogue, and shaping social narratives across diverse media platforms. This shift continues to influence the ways we see ourselves and others, making digital photography an integral part of contemporary life.
